B&C has officially launched the DE550 and DE554, 51mm (2”) diaphragm high frequency drivers.
“Our goal here was to fill the gap between large and small the diaphragm high frequency drivers. While offering excellent value for point source applications, these drivers are also an alternative solution for OEM’s aiming for higher driver density in small format line array design.”, said Alessandro Pancani, Chief Technology Officer for B&C Speakers. “The 51mm diaphragm DE554 offers great performance in a small format, 1.4” exit HF driver; while the DE550 incorporates our largest ever diaphragm in a 1.0” exit, wide response HF driver.”
All models feature a CCAW voice coil carefully mounted on a new, High Temperature Polymer diaphragm, optimized phase plug, and a neodymium ring magnet.
